Elizabeth Tricks

Originally I trained as a nurse and a midwife, an area I worked in for over 15 years, predominantly in the Middle East. But as is so often the case, the demands of a young family became my priority, and I left to focus upon them. Then several years ago, I unexpectedly had the opportunity to join the Registration service as a manager, where I worked as both a Registrar and Celebrant for over five years.

During this time, I prepared and conducted numerous ceremonies. However, as my confidence and skills grew, I gradually became frustrated at the limited time I was able to dedicate to clients. Hence my decision to become an Independant Celebrant.

I love a celebration, whatever the event, big, small, flamboyant or intimate and regardless of an individuals orientation. It is my belief that the attention to detail, no matter how minuscule, is what helps to create a memorable occasion. So that is what I am here to do.

I will take the time to get to know you, take your ideas, your personality, add some of my suggestions if you wish, and then combine all this together to curate a beautiful, bespoke and memorable ceremony. I will also help you with the choreography of the ceremony, so it runs smoothly and seamlessly.

Although I am based down on the Dorset/Wiltshire border, I am happy to travel, and have performed several ceremonies nationally.
